Do you save my patient data?
No! We pride ourselves in creating a system that resets itself after every use, data is securely deleted for each new session.
Does the AI make diagnostic or treatment recommendations?
No. Consult.Help only summarizes what you, the medical professional, have already communicated. The AI does not provide medical advice, suggest treatments, or comment on your treatment plans.
How does the summary process work?
The application records the diagnostic and treatment portion of your consultation, transcribes the conversation, and then uses AI to create a concise summary of the information discussed.
Can I review and edit the summary before sharing it?
Yes, and we strongly encourage this. You'll have access to an editable component similar to a word processor where you can review and modify the summary before approving it for printing or sending.
Why is editing important?
While AI summarization is typically accurate, we believe that you, as the medical professional, should have final approval. This ensures that the summary correctly reflects your diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Is Consult.Help HIPAA compliant?
Yes, Consult.Help is fully HIPAA compliant with end-to-end encryption. The application is stateless and doesn't store any recordings or summaries after they're generated and delivered.
Do I need to enter patient details?
No. The application doesn't require any patient identifiers. We discourage including personally identifiable information in the recordings. However, if patient details are accidentally mentioned, don't worry—all data is securely deleted after use and won't be stored or processed further.
What happens to the recordings and summaries?
Once a recording is transcribed, summarized, and the summary is printed or emailed, both the recording and the summary are securely deleted from our system. Nothing is stored for future access.
When should I start recording during a consultation?
We recommend starting the recording at the beginning of the diagnostic and treatment discussion, rather than recording the entire consultation. However, the application can record a full consultation if preferred.
What devices can I use consult.help on?
Consult.Help works on any device with a microphone, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops. For printing, you'll need a device connected to a printer.
Does Consult.Help require an internet connection?
Yes, the application requires an internet connection to process the audio and generate the AI summary.
